Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works with a Request for the Following:
A. ADOPT an ORDINANCE Amending the City of Peoria 2021 REVISED ANNUAL BUDGET Relating to the Use of the WAREHOUSE DISTRICT TIF FUND Balance to PROVIDE for EMERGENCY RESTORATION SERVICES at 1312 SW ADAMS STREET, Due to Water Infiltration from a Faulty Roof, in the Amount of $104,956.00.
B. APPROVE an EMERGENCY CONTRACT with SERVPRO, in the Amount of $104,955.71, to Provide EMERGENCY RESTORATION SERVICES to Extract Water, Remove Drywall, Utilize Air Movers, Equipment Rental, and Equipment Decontamination, at 1312 SW ADAMS STREET, Due to Water Infiltration from a Faulty Roof.

BACKGROUND: In March of 2021, it was discovered that a roof drain broke loose on the vacant City building located at 1312 SW Adams, while showing the building to prospective clients. As a result, Servpro was contacted immediately to mitigate the extensive water damage to all floors of the building.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Warehouse District TIF fund balance will be reduced by $104,955.71.
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: None
IMPACT IF APPROVED: The 2021 Revised Annual Budget will be amended to reflect the use of fund balance and the expenditure to provide for the emergency clean-up of 1312 SW Adams and the Contractor will be paid.
IMPACT IF DENIED: The 2021 Revised Annual Budget will not be amended to reflect the use of fund balance and the expenditure to provide for the emergency clean-up of 1312 SW Adams. The Sole Source Contractor has already performed the service, therefor the Contractor will be paid.
