BACKGROUND: Petitioner Luke Haverhals of Natural Fiber Welding is requesting to amend the existing Special Use to add Textile Manufacturing. Natural Fiber Welding is planning to lease approximately 24,000 sq. ft. of the former Shopko building to expanding their operations to a third location. Their process involves the use of recycled yard and technology to enhance the yarns performance. Operations will be conducted entirely within the existing building.
The Planning & Zoning Commission found that the request met the Findings of Fact and voted 6 to 0 to APPROVE the request.
