Body

BACKGROUND:  The Northmoor Road project, from Allen Road to University Street, is the final phase of improvement to this arterial street that needs significant infrastructure repair. The segments of Northmoor Road between University Street and Knoxville Avenue have been previously reconstructed in the past eight years. The design of the proposed section of Northmoor Road follows Complete, Green Streets infrastructure policies, including a permeable pavement bike lane, new sidewalks, pedestrian-scale street lighting, and a new concrete pavement roadway.

This multi-year construction project will begin in August, 2017 and finish in 2019. The subject construction engineering agreement provides services for 2017 with the available 2017 budgeted funds. Future amendments to this agreement will be proposed in 2018/2019 when future budgets are approved.

The attached MFT Resolution will fund the 2017 construction engineering services, which will be provided by Millennia Professional Services of Illinois, Ltd., an MBE, as a work order under their Master Services Agreement #16-119-G approved by Council April 12, 2016 for the total not to exceed amount of $2 million.

Attachments include the MFT Resolution for the amount of $300,000, and a copy of the Construction Engineering Services Agreement with Millennial Professional Services of Illinois, Ltd. in the same amount.
