Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works with a Request to APPROVE the First Amendment to MASTER PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT #16-119 (A) with TERRA ENGINEERING, LTD., for a Not to Exceed Amount of $350,000.00, Extension for Design Engineering and Other Various Services in 2018. (All Council Districts)

BACKGROUND: Staff had negotiated Master Service Agreements for Professional Services in Year 2016. TERRA was originally authorized for $2,000,000 through Council Item #16-119 (A). TERRA has reached their master service agreement limit. In order to continue professional services for TERRA for 2018, we need to add $350,000 to their master services agreement. TERRA has been providing design engineering and other professional services.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: TERRA will work on projects and be funded through projects in the capital budget and Community Investment Plan and as contractual services.
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: This contract extension will enable the City to continue to be responsive to citizen concerns.
IMPACT IF APPROVED: Staff can issue work orders to continue using TERRA for professional services.
IMPACT IF DENIED: Staff will not be able to issue work orders to continue using TERRA for professional services.
