Body

BACKGROUND:  The petitioner, WD Community Investments, LLC, is requesting to obtain a Special Use to allow a Freestanding Sign and a Painted Wall Sign in a Class WH (Warehouse) District.  The Warehouse District zoning classification does not permit either type of sign, therefore a special use for a waiver is required, or the signs will not be permitted.

 

The proposed freestanding sign would be located at the corner of Adams and Pecan, 10 feet in height, and approximately 3 feet by 3 feet in area.  The proposed painted wall sign would be placed on the south elevation of the building, located on a section of the wall previously filled in with brick; and approximately 10 feet by 10 feet in area.

 

The Planning and Zoning Commission VOTED 4 - 0 TO APPROVE the rezoning request.
