Communication from the City Manager and Fire Chief to APPROVE a CONTRACT with ROCK VALLEY HEALTH to Conduct Annual Physicals for All Commissioned Firefighting Personnel for Three Years, in the Amount of $84,105.00 per Year.

BACKGROUND: In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Section 8.4 states “The City of Peoria and the IAFF Local 50 have developed a Wellness-Fitness Initiative to promote and maintain the highest possible level of health, fitness, and productivity of the Peoria Fire Department members through a coordinated program consisting of Annual Medical Evaluations.” In partnering with Rock Valley Health to perform these evaluations, the following assets impacted the decision.
• A local company which offers easy access for Peoria Fire Department personnel to obtain results and flexible scheduling needs.
• Agreed to cover all required exams and tests outlined in the RFP.
• Previous working experience with Rock Valley.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: This will impact the current 2022 budget.
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: N/A
IMPACT IF APPROVED: Offer the Fire Department a greater resource in complying with the CBA.
