Body
BACKGROUND: Sheridan Road is an arterial street within the City that needs significant infrastructure repair, as it is beyond an overlay. The segment between McClure Avenue and Eleanor Place was budgeted in the 2012 CIP and was constructed by R.A. Cullinan & Son following Complete and Green infrastructure policies, by installing a permeable paver bike lane, new sidewalks, ornamental street lighting, and a new full-depth hot mix asphalt roadway. Construction was completed on Sheridan Road Phase 1 from McClure Avenue to Eleanor Place in 2017.

Sheridan Road Phase 2 (Richmond Avenue to Eleanor Place) design began in 2016, and construction is planned in 2020. This section will contain the same roadway features as seen in the Phase 1 improvement.

The attached Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Resolution will fund the remaining preliminary design engineering services and right-of-way (ROW) acquisition, which will be provided by Hanson Professional Services under Master Service Agreement #16-119-C, approved by Council April 12, 2016, for the not to exceed amount of $1.5 million.

Attachments include the MFT Resolution for the amount of $175,000 and a copy of the Supplemental Engineering Services Agreement/Work Order #16-11 (under MSA #16-119-C) with Hanson Professional Services for the amount of $125,000.

FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding will come from State Motor Fuel Tax revenue. (MFT Section #16-00372-00-EG).
