ACTION REQUESTED: Title Communication from the City Manager and Interim Corporation Counsel with a Request to APPROVE an INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT for SPRINGDALE CEMETERY, with PEORIA COUNTY PEORIA PARK DISTRICT, and the City of Peoria. Body BACKGROUND: In 2002, the City with Peoria County and the Peoria Park District entered into an intergovernmental agreement for the purpose of both saving and resurrecting historic Springdale Cemetery. Under the terms of that agreement, the City took ownership of the land that is the cemetery; the park district and the county would split fifty-fifty the first $80,000 of annual operating deficit; the county would cover the next $20,000 annual operating deficit; and the city could cover the remaining operating deficits each year.
