Communication from the City Manager and Corporation Counsel with a Request to APPROVE a RESOLUTION Releasing the MINUTES of CLOSED MEETINGS Listed on Schedule A and for Confidentiality to Remain as to the MINUTES of Schedule B.

BACKGROUND:
Section 2.06 of the Open Meetings Act requires City Council to semi-annually meet to determine whether the need for confidentially still exists as to Closed Session Minutes. The attached Minutes listed on Schedule A do not require confidentially any longer. In addition, the attached Resolution authorizes the Clerk to destroy verbatim tapes of Closed Sessions more than eighteen months old and written Minutes having been approved for all such meetings, as is required by Section 2.06(c) of the Open Meetings Act. The destruction of any verbatim tapes of Closed Sessions shall occur 30 days after the passing of the Resolution.
