BACKGROUND: Inspections of storm sewers and culverts identified the culvert segment under Glen Avenue near the Red Carpet Car Wash and Spotted Cow Restaurant to be in poor condition. This project will replace the 5-foot wide by 6-foot tall culvert under Glen Avenue that ties into the recently relocated 6-foot diameter culvert near the Red Carpet Car Wash Property. The culvert being replaced under Glen Avenue was originally built in the 1930s.

The plans and specifications were prepared by Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT). The Advertisement for Bids for this project was published in the Peoria Journal Star and on the City's website. Public Works opened Bids on March 23, 2023, with three bids received.
