BACKGROUND: Rocket seeks to locate a small parabolic dish on the roof of the east Tower of the property commonly known as the Twin Towers at 123 S.W. Jefferson Avenue, Peoria. Rocket further wishes to place additional equipment, at its expense, within a utility room owned by the City at that same location. The City has negotiated terms that are contained within the Tower Site Lease Agreement. The lease Agreement will last for 10 years with options to extend for additional five-year terms.

FINANCIAL IMPACT: City will receive $2400.00 annually in rent with a 3% increase each subsequent year following the initial year.

NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: N/A

IMPACT IF APPROVED: Small start-up company will be able to provide better services to Peoria residents as a result of tower location of infrastructure. City will receive annual rents for use of space that is not needed by the City.

IMPACT IF DENIED: Company will not be able to situate its equipment in an optimal place to provide signal service to Peoria residents. City will not receive annual rental income from Rocket Communications.
