BACKGROUND: Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless has filed a complaint against the City of Peoria, City of Peoria Zoning Board of Appeals, and the City of Peoria Site Plan Review Board, in the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois Peoria Division. Plaintiff claims that they were denied legitimate land use by the City parties listed in violation of the Federal Telecommunications Act (1996) and Illinois State Law. Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless is seeking monetary damages in addition to injunctive relief.
