BACKGROUND: Jesse Singh and Lindsay Weatherman, Partners, Parwan Mini Mart, Inc., d/b/a Save More Supermarket, presented a Site Application for a Class C (grocery) liquor license. The Liquor Commission voted unanimously to recommend denial of this Site Application. Minutes of the Liquor Commission Meeting will be handed out at the Council Meeting
FINANCIAL IMPACT: N/A
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: The Police Department recommended denial of the request for Site Approval stating packaged liquor sales would be detrimental to the subject area. The Community Development Department also recommended denial due to on-going unresolved property maintenance issues.
IMPACT IF APPROVED: Packaged Alcoholic Beverages can be sold at this grocery store.
IMPACT IF DENIED: This site will not be able to sell any kind of alcohol.
