Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works with a Request to Approve a RESOLUTION Authorizing the CITY MANAGER to EXECUTE MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDING AGREEMENTS, as Necessary, for Various Projects With the Illinois Department of Transportation. [All Council Districts]

BACKGROUND:  Some MFT-funded projects may have numerous Agreements and Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Funding documents requiring execution.  Staff requests approval of the attached blanket Resolution that will authorize the City Manager to execute the appropriate IDOT Agreements and forms for efficient progression of various MFT funded Capital projects.  
 
Staff will continue to bring contract approvals to City Council on an individual basis, per the City's existing Purchasing Ordinance.
 
FINANCIAL IMPACT: The funding for all aspects of Motor Fuel Tax Agreement projects will come from various projects authorized in the Community Investment Plan.  
 
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS:   N/A      
      
IMPACT IF APPROVED:  Staff can more efficiently process professional and contract services on Motor Fuel Tax funded projects. City Purchase contracts for construction will continue to be submitted to City Council on an individual basis.
 
IMPACT IF DENIED:   Staff will continue to process high volumes of communications with end results of signing simple IDOT paperwork.
