Communication from the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Human Resource Director and City Manager with a PRESENTATION on the CITY’S WORKFORCE COMPOSITION AND DIVERSITY GOALS.

BACKGROUND:  At the request of Councilwoman Moore, the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Human Resource Director and City Manager will present a presentation on the composition of the City’s workforce and discuss the development of diversity goals for the City and an updated Affirmative Action Plan.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:  Additional funding was added to the Human Resources budget in 2020 to increase outreach to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) to recruit Police Officers and Firefighters.

 

NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS:  A workforce that reflects the community is a concern for all neighborhoods.
