Communication from the City Manager and Emergency Communications Center Manager with a Request to APPROVE a 5-Year AGREEMENT with the CITY OF CHILLICOTHE for DISPATCH SERVICES.

BACKGROUND: On June 1, 2018 the City of Peoria began providing dispatch services to the City of Chillicothe. On April, 2, 2019 voters approved a referendum to annex the Chillicothe Community Fire Protection District to include the City of Chillicothe. That passed. The City of Chillicothe will no longer be responsible for the fire department or the cost to dispatch. The reduction given to the City of Chillicothe will result in a future adjustment to the Chillicothe Community Fire Protection District fee structure. This agreement will be a new five year agreement for dispatch services with the City of Chillicothe.
