BACKGROUND:  Mr. Sam Gappmayer, President & CEO, Peoria Riverfront Museum, presented a Site Application for the expansion of a Class I (assembly hall) Liquor License, with an expansion of a Subclass 3* (beer garden) for 222 S.W. Washington.  The Liquor Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of this Site Application.  Minutes of the Liquor Commission Meeting are attached.
 
Since this is a change or expansion of the Special Use in place for the shopping center in which the site is located, such change or expansion must be reviewed and administratively approved by Site Plan Review Board.
 
*Except for Subclasses 1 (4 a.m.) and 1a (2 a.m.), a site application of a subclass liquor license does not require affirmative approval by the City Council.

NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS:  There were no concerns expressed.
      
IMPACT IF APPROVED:  Alcoholic beverages can be consumed in additional areas on the site.
