BACKGROUND: Additional information follows, in bolded font, pursuant to discussions during the City Council meeting of September 27, 2016:

On May 24, 2016, the City Council approved a construction contract for the Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Pilot Project on Adams Street between Pecan and Persimmon Streets (Item 16-177). This is the first Complete, Green Street project in a future decades-long CSO program. A primary goal of this project is to infiltrate (soak) stormwater into the ground before the water can flow into the combined sewers, which are overwhelmed during significant rains.

At 214 Pecan Street, WD Community Investment, LLC is renovating 214 Pecan Street, a 3-story building in the Warehouse District, as a mixed-use project consisting of residential and commercial spaces. One Fire Media Group, Inc. is a future commercial tenant of the building.
