Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works with a Request to APPROVE an AGREEMENT with GIS WORKSHOP, LLC., for Work Order Management Software Services, in the Amount of $16,873.00.

BACKGROUND: The Department’s current Work Order Management System (PubWorks) was purchased by GIS Workshop, LLC (gWorks) on December 2, 2022. That system a licensed software that provides a multi-division interface and is a comprehensive tool for tracking data on equipment, materials, labor hours, inventory, and translates that data into usable information derived from customized reports.

 

The software’s 2023 annual maintenance agreement amount of $16,873 is unchanged and a budgeted line item in the Public Works Department budget.

 

The services provided for the work order system are not changing. A signed agreement for 2023 licensing is being requested by gWorks.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:  Identified in the 2023 Operating Budget.

IMPACT IF APPROVED: Public Works staff will continue to operate using the work order software as done in previous years.

 

IMPACT IF DENIED: The Department will not have a license agreement for services with the new owner and will be unable to support the software.
