NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS:  N/A

IMPACT IF APPROVED: The Fire Department will be equipped with reliable and updated thermal imaging cameras that are crucial for the safety of the firefighters and the citizens they are trying to rescue. These cameras allow firefighters to essentially “see through smoke” and behind walls to quickly extinguish fires and aid in rescues.

IMPACT IF DENIED:  The current thermal imaging cameras are aging and in frequent need of repairs. The safety of firefighters and citizens will be compromised due to the fire machines being without reliable cameras while they are being repaired.
