Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works with a Request to APPROVE a PERMANENT EASEMENT for Two Greater Peoria Sanitary District Sewer Rehab Projects.

BACKGROUND:
As part of the ongoing maintenance activities associated with the sanitary sewer that serves Peoria residents, the Greater Peoria Sanitary District (GPSD) is requesting a permanent easement at each of the following properties to install erosion control measures to protect the existing sanitary sewer and replace sections of the sewer as necessary.
A. PIN 14-26-302-002 (along N. Meadowbrook Road on the Peoria Public Works Facility property)
B. PIN 14-08-201-012 (in the Yalehurst subdivision along the Rock Island Trail)
These easements are on City-owned property and are limited expansions to existing easements for GPSD mains already existing on these properties.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: Each easement is to be granted in the consideration of the sum of $1.00.
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: None.
IMPACT IF APPROVED: GPSD can continue to safely operate the sanitary sewer.
IMPACT IF DENIED: Portions of the sanitary sewer will be susceptible to damage from storm water runoff and erosion.
