Body
BACKGROUND:
Attached is a new Agreement of Understanding with the Illinois Department of Transportation covering maintenance and construction activities of the City of Peoria under State Motor Fuel Tax regulations.  Under this Agreement, as long as the City employs a full time Public Engineer, there is no need for IDOT to review and approve maintenance and construction work for regular MFT projects. For record purposes on the projects, the City will still provide the same information to IDOT.

With the retirement of former City Engineer Jeff Smith and the hiring of City Engineer Scott Reeise, the City and the Department now enter into the attached new Agreement.
