BACKGROUND: The voice and data cabling infrastructure has been in place for almost 20 plus years and has reached the limit of its capability.  The new cabling will meet the voice and data needs of the Fire Department for the foreseeable future and prepare the building for network and telephone upgrades scheduled in 2014. Replacing cabling in the rest of the Fire Houses will be bid before 2015.
 
The Purchasing Division distributed fifteen (15) bid packages and four (4) responses were received as listed in the table below:
