Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works with a Request to APPROVE the Partial Release of a PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT on Parts of Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block 89, all in AIKEN, MONSON AND SANFORD’S ADDITION to the Town of Peoria and to Authorize the City Manager to Execute the Necessary Documents. Body

BACKGROUND:  During the recent construction of the Gateway at River City project, located at 518 W. Romeo B. Garrett Avenue, the City sewer was re-aligned to accommodate the new building. The developer requested that the City release the portion of the utility easement that is longer necessary, so that they may clean up the title to the property.

Staff has reviewed the proposed partial release of easement and recommends approval. See attachment for location and details.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:  None.

 

NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS:  None.

                     

IMPACT IF APPROVED: The developer can clean up the title for the property.

 

IMPACT IF DENIED:  The City would retain an easement no longer necessary for the public.
