BACKGROUND: Currently, the Peoria Fire Department is the sole entity in or near this jurisdiction that has a dive team. The departments dive team consists of 17 core team members that are highly trained in underwater, swift water and ice rescue operations. There are 2 other agencies that have watercraft and they are Fondulac Park Police Department and Chillicothe Fire Department.
