Communication from the City Manager and the Community Development Director with a Request to ADOPT an ORDINANCE Amending CHAPTER 5 of the CODE of the City of Peoria Relating to the Issuance and Contents of CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY.

BACKGROUND:  The City of Peoria is proposing to amend the issuance; contents of certificates of occupancy in Chapter 5 of the City of Peoria City Code to include inspection of the site in the issuance of certificates of occupancy. The current City Code references that all applicable codes need to be met; this amendment would clean up the code language to make the requirement more specific.

IMPACT IF APPROVED: The issuance; contents of certificates of occupancy will be amended in Chapter 5 of the City of Peoria City Code.
