Communication from the City Manager and the Finance Director/Comptroller with a REQUEST to RECEIVE and FILE the 2013 COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT by McGladrey LLP.

BACKGROUND:
McGladrey LLP delivered the 2013 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) to the City on August 8, 2014. The report continues to include all component units as required by accounting principles generally accepted in the United States.
Also, we believe this report meets the requirements for the Government Finance Officers Association's (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The 2013 CAFR has been submitted to the Government Finance Officers Association for consideration for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The City of Peoria's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report has received this award for the past thirteen (13) years.
