ACTION REQUESTED:
Title
Communication from the City Manager and the Fire Chief with a Request to Approve a Proposed TIME AND MATERIALS AGREEMENT between the City of Peoria and OSF ST. FRANCIS, INC. for the Repairs and Maintenance of the Peoria Fire Department AED/Defibrillators.
Body
BACKGROUND: The Peoria Fire Department currently contracts with Physio-Control for the repairs and maintenance of their AED/Defibrillators at an annual cost of $27,443. The proposed agreement with OSF St. Francis, Inc. is for time and materials only for repairs of the AED/Defibrillators and the Peoria Fire Department anticipates this agreement to be a lesser cost to City of Peoria; possibly a substantial savings.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Peoria Fire Department will experience an annual savings over the current $27,443 contract with Physio-Control.
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: N/A
IMPACT IF APPROVED: The Peoria Fire Department will be able to continue to repair and maintain their life-saving AED/Defibrillators at a much lower annual rate.
IMPACT IF DENIED: The Peoria Fire Department will need to increase their operating budget on a yearly basis in order to maintain the rising costs of AED/Defibrillator repair and maintenance through Physio-Control.
