MADISON STREET, 2111 NE. JEFFERSON STREET, and 2133 NE. JEFFERSON STREET (Parcel Identification Nos. 18-03-230-001, 18-03-230-014, 18-03-230-015, 18-03-230-024, 18-03-230-025, 18-03-230-026, and 18-03-230-027), Peoria, IL.

BACKGROUND: Greater Peoria Mass Transit District is requesting to rezone the subject properties to Class I-2 (Railroad/Warehouse Industrial) District. The seven parcels total 2.6 acres. One parcel is developed as part of CityLink's existing site. The remaining six parcels have been acquired for re-development as part of City Link's plans for a building and parking lot expansion.
The Planning & Zoning Commission found that this request met the Findings of Fact and voted 5 to 0 to approve.

NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS (at the Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting): Neighbors along Jefferson Avenue opposed the rezoning with concern for traffic, safety of pedestrians and business owners.

IMPACT IF DENIED: The properties will not be rezoned to I-2 (Railroad/Warehouse) Industrial.
