BACKGROUND: The AMVETS Charities of Peoria has applied for a temporary outdoor liquor license that will allow for the sale and consumption of alcohol at an outdoor fundraiser on St. Patrick's Day. The fundraiser will be held in a fenced-in area at 237 N.E. Monroe between the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Security will be provided by the veteran members of the AMVETS. All proceeds will be donated to AMVETS Charities of Peoria. The Peoria Police Department has recommended that this license be granted.
