BACKGROUND: The petitioner is proposing a new freestanding sign at the corner of Washington and Walnut, approximately 42 square feet, and 15 feet in height.

 

The Planning and Zoning Commission VOTED 5 - 0 TO APPROVE the Special Use Waiver request, with the condition that the sign must be removed if the subject parcel upon which the sign is located, is developed.

FINANCIAL IMPACT: N/A

 

NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS:   An interested citizen expressed concern about ADA compliance and accessibility to a bus stop and Water Street.

                     

IMPACT IF APPROVED:  A new, replacement freestanding sign will be permitted.

 

IMPACT IF DENIED:   The existing freestanding sign will be required to be removed.
