Body
BACKGROUND: On December 16, 2014, the Springdale Cemetery Management Authority adopted the 2015 Springdale Cemetery Management Authority Annual Budget at the Authority's regular schedule meeting. The attached budget reflects a projected loss for 2015 of ($485,150). In accordance with the intergovernmental agreement, the County of Peoria and the Peoria Park District will contribute $60,000 and $40,000 respectively towards the cemetery deficit, with the City's projected share of the loss being $249,850. The City's 2015 budget and five year projections include a subsidy to the Springdale Management Authority in the amount of $250,000 annually. The attached budget does not include capital expenditures for the cemetery. The City's capital budget includes $60,000 annually for capital expenses relating to the cemetery. The City, County and Park District's subsidies to the cemetery effectively cover the grounds maintenance and facility expenses.
