Title
Communication from the City Manager with a Request to Review the STRATEGIC PLAN UPDATE and Determine 2015 POLICY SESSIONS.

BACKGROUND: The City Council adopted a strategic plan that lays out four specific goals:
1. Financially Sound City Government, Effective City Organization
2. Grow Peoria: Businesses, Jobs, and Population
3. Attractive Neighborhoods with Character: Safe and Livable
4. Vibrant Downtown: Riverfront/ Central Business District/ Warehouse District
These four goals guide the work of the City administration. Within each goal, Council establishes an Action Agenda that sets forth particular projects and tasks for the Council and administration to accomplish. An update to that Action Agenda is attached.
Direction is sought regarding which policy discussions the Council would like to hold during 2015.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None directly. Policy discussions help frame issues and provide direction to staff.
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: Policies discussed and decisions made have a direct impact on neighborhoods, citizens and stakeholders.
IMPACT IF APPROVED: Policy discussions will be scheduled.
IMPACT IF DENIED: Policy discussions will only be scheduled as they arise.
