Title
Communication from the City Manager and Director of Community Development with a Recommendation from the Planning & Zoning Commission and Staff to ADOPT the Following:
A. ORDINANCE A Amending APPENDIX B, the Zoning Ordinance, Related to the DEFINITION of MEDICAL CANNABIS USE; and
B. ORDINANCE B Amending APPENDIX C, the Land Development Code, Related to the DEFINITION of MEDICAL CANNABIS USE.

BACKGROUND:
In response to a request from City Council, Staff has prepared a text amendment to Appendix B, the Zoning Ordinance and Appendix C, the Land Development Code to add the definition of medical cannabis use. This definition is from the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act of the Illinois State Statues.

IMPACT IF APPROVED: A definition of medical cannabis use will be added to Appendix B, the Zoning Ordinance and Appendix C, the Land Development Code.
IMPACT IF DENIED: A definition of medical cannabis use will not be added to Appendix B, the Zoning Ordinance and Appendix C, the Land Development Code.
