BACKGROUND:
The Police Department's contract for the purchase of reloadable ammunition used for Police training has expired. The Purchasing Division solicited bids for a one year contract for projected purchases. The following responses were received:
Precision Delta Cartridge $21,208
ACI Armscor Cartridge $19,585
Bacon Creek Gun No Bid
The Bid Summary is attached. Quantities were adjusted due to budget constraints.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding for the purchase is provided in the Police operating budget account 101-2121-561.42-02.

IMPACT IF APPROVED: The Police Department will be able to purchase reload ammunition to conduct police officer firearm training
IMPACT IF DENIED: The Police Department will have a limited supply of reload ammunition to conduct police officer firearm training. We would anticipate running out of reload ammunition by fall of 2015.
