BACKGROUND:  At its July 25, 2017 Regular Meeting, under Item No. 17-242, City Council received and filed the Presentation on the Downtown Streetscape Master Plan, which was underwritten by Caterpillar and prepared by the Offices of James Burnett (OJB). 

 

The Downtown Streetscape Master Plan provides for new processes and design recommendations for pilot projects intended to reinvigorate the Central Business District, Warehouse District, medical centers, and position Peoria for the next generation. The Plan utilizes Complete Streets concepts and complements the city’s Strategic and Comprehensive Plans.
