BACKGROUND: 

 

At this time, staff is requesting that this item be withdrawn.  Further investigation needs to occur as to the breadth of the impact of the Reed case on the entire City Sign Ordinance.  Further, there are various pending court cases that may provide clarification and direction on the Reed ruling in the next six to twelve months.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:  N/A

 

NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS (at the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting):  None

 

IMPACT IF APPROVED:  The Unified Development Code will be amended as attached.

 

IMPACT IF DENIED:  The existing content based temporary sign regulations will remain.
