BACKGROUND:

50ILCS 145/2 and 65 ILCS 5/3.1-50-5 and 10 provides for Elected Officials’ compensation to be set 180 days before the beginning of a new term.  Compensation may not be increased or decreased during an Elected Official’s term.  Attached is a proposed Ordinance setting compensation for the Mayor, City Clerk, City Treasurer, At-Large and District Council Members and reflects a 0% increase for the four year terms.
