Body

BACKGROUND: Muhdi Issa, Owner, M and J Usa Property, LLC, and Godwin Techie, Manager, presented a Site Application for a Class C (Packaged Goods) Liquor License at 2411 N. Knoxville. The Liquor Commission voted 3-0 to recommend denial of this Site Application. Minutes of the December 7, 2020 Liquor Commission Meeting are attached.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:  N/A

 

NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS:  Several neighborhood residents submitted letters in opposition of a liquor license at the site due to the fear of increased litter, traffic, noise, violence, etc. 

 

During the virtual public hearing, a Small Business Consultant spoke in favor of the business owner and the requested liquor license at this location. 

                     

IMPACT IF APPROVED: Alcoholic beverages can be sold at this establishment.

 

IMPACT IF DENIED:  This site will not be able to sell any kind of alcohol.
