Communication from the City Manager and Assistant City Manager/Interim Chief Information Officer with a Request to APPROVE a CONTRACT with ASCEND TECHNOLOGIES for a Cyber Security Assessment and Plan, in an Amount not to Exceed $25,000.00.

Body
BACKGROUND: The responsible management of Information Systems needs to include an expert and robust cybersecurity management protocol. From time to time, organizations such as our IS team engage cybersecurity experts to review our systems and collaborate on planning for continuous improvement. The City issued a modified request for proposal (RFP) to contract with a consultant to provide a comprehensive Information Technology cyber security review and planning.

The City allowed qualified firms that could demonstrate experience and expertise in cyber security for the municipal/public sector to submit proposals.

The consultant will systematically review the current state of the City's information technology, develop recommendation plan, and prioritized a road map of activities to enhance the City's future cybersecurity management.

The Purchasing Division contacted six (6) qualified vendors and received three (3) responses. The responses were scored as outlined in the RFP and the results are as follows:
