Communication from the City Manager and the Assistant City Manager with a Request to APPROVE a SOLE SOURCE Renewal of the Maintenance AGREEMENT for the City’s Graphical Information System (GIS) Mapping System with ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS RESEARCH INSTITUTE (ESRI), in an Amount Not to Exceed $32,000.00 Per Year for Up to Three Years.

BACKGROUND: The City of Peoria currently uses ESRI GIS software in many areas including Police, Public Works, Community Development, Emergency Dispatch Center and the Information Systems Department. Continuing Maintenance on this software will allow the City to adequately support the multiple users and their projects.
These projects include (but not limited to) Police - CrimeView, Emergency Communications Center - Computer Aided Dispatching; and Planning and Growth Management - code enforcement/permitting.
This request is to continue the service on a yearly basis (three (3) one (1) year contracts) so the City can maintain the service but has the option to cancel if it becomes necessary.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: The yearly maintenance fee each year to be paid out of Information Systems operating budget #1011630-503410.
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: N/A
IMPACT IF APPROVED: The City will maintain maintenance and support on its GIS Software System.
IMPACT IF DENIED: The City will not have a maintenance and support agreement and the software will become outdated.
