Communication from the City Manager with a Request to RECEIVE and FILE a PRESENTATION from the DOWNTOWN ADVISORY COMMISSION.

BACKGROUND:  The Downtown Advisory Commission (DAC) is seeking to discuss a series of proactive policy recommendations to support the development of the downtown area.

 

Historically, the DAC had only responded to inquiries from the City. 2019 marked the first time they began working to proactively offer recommendations on priorities for Council support.  Included here are the current recommendations. The DAC intends to offer periodic recommendations on occasion as part of their effort to continuously improve and support the development of Downtown.

 

Today’s recommendations include:

1)                     One-way to two-way conversion plan of Adams and Jefferson downtown

2)                     Riverfront Master Plan

3)                     Wayfinding
