Communication from the City Manager and Finance Director to ADOPT an ORDINANCE Amending the City of Peoria 2022-2023 BIENNIAL BUDGET, Relating to the General Fund, to Recognize the Operational Movement of Parking Enforcement from Public Works to Police, in the Amount of $205,248.54.

BACKGROUND:

Parking operations was budgeted as part of the Public Works budget in the 2022-2023 Biennial Budget.  Over the past few months, staff had discussions on moving the parking operations from Public Works to Police.  To effectuate this change in the 2022-2023 Biennial Budget, staff recommend moving $205,248.54 from the Public Works budget to the Police budget in 2022. 

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:  This budget amendment will not increase the budget in the General Fund on a fund level.
