BACKGROUND: Attorney James Balli, representing Family Dollar Stores, Inc., presented a Site Application for a Class C-1 (packaged goods) Liquor License to an existing dollar store. The Police Dept. and Legal Dept. expressed concern with regard to the close proximity to the nearby public housing. The Liquor Commission voted 4 to 1 to recommend approval of the request. Minutes of the Liquor Commission Meeting are attached.
