BACKGROUND:  The Fire Department responds to calls where recovery fees are able to be recovered and reimbursed for services provided. Recovery fees can be obtained from insurance companies without impacting the community or the individual personally. By using a Third-Party Administrator, the Peoria Fire Department could potentially recover upwards of $300,000 to $500,000 annually. It is the desire of the Fire Department to utilize this capability to recoup costs incurred by the City of Peoria

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:  It is estimated that this recovery program could recoup up to $500,000 per year for the Fire Department and the City of Peoria.
