Under Governor Pritzker’s current disaster proclamation public meetings may continue to be held remotely in accordance with Public Act (P.A.) 101-0640. As of August 30, 2021, through Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order 2021-20, face coverings that cover the nose and mouth for individuals in Illinois who are age two or over and able to medically tolerate a face covering (a mask or cloth face covering) when in an indoor public place are required. The CDC continues to recommend social distancing of at least six feet. City Hall is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To comply with these recommendations and requirements, the City is implementing the following changes and restrictions for the City Council Meeting on October 19, 2021 while complying with the spirit of the Open Meetings Act:
· A City Council Meeting will be held on October 19, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers, and will be conducted in person with the members of the Council, Mayor, City Manager, Corporation Council, City Clerk, and Deputy City Clerk present.
