BACKGROUND: Christell Frausto & Sultan Noorullah, Owners, presented a Site Application for a Class C-1 (packaged goods) Liquor License, with a Subclass 6 (product tastings) at 1621 N. Knoxville. The Liquor Commission voted 3-1 to recommend Approval of this Site Application. Minutes of the Liquor Commission Meeting are attached.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: N/A
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCERNS: One letter of opposition was mailed in from a neighborhood resident. The Police Dept. recommended denial because the request was for a stand-alone liquor store in an area of town that had been struggling and a blighted neighborhood.
IMPACT IF APPROVED: Alcoholic beverages can be sold at this establishment.
IMPACT IF DENIED: This site will not be able to sell or serve any kind of alcohol.
