Communication from the City Manager, Finance Director, and Director of Community Development with a Request to ADOPT an ORDINANCE Amending CHAPTER 18 and CHAPTER 30 of the CODE of the City of Peoria, Related to the ELIMINATION of Various LICENSES and MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS REGULATIONS.

Body
BACKGROUND: At the September 14th City Council meeting, Councilman Denis Cyr asked staff to bring back revisions to the City of Peoria code related to business licenses. Removal of the requirements would prevent those complying with our regulations from being unfairly charged versus those who ignore or are not aware of the regulations. Refunds will not be issued to those who applied and were granted a license for 2021, but they will not be required to renew their license in 2022 or going forward.
